American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She began her acting career as a supporting actress in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the following years, she played the character as reporter Willa McPherson on FX's series Dirt. Also, she played an appearance in the short-lived FX series The Ex List. She played Kaylee as a young Moira on the very first season of on FX's American Horror Story. She was Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She voices various characters in the show Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019, she has starred in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother when she was of 10. The family lived in various places for one year before eventually moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she began to take an interest in photography, acting and singing. When she was 15 she moved with her mom to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career.
